11,111 = The Reader - The Internet Surfer - The Customer - The Voter And The Competition Too

All my life I have strived to be the best at everything I do and I must confess that I love the famous Vince Lombardi speech about being the best, winning and being number one. What I have learned about being number one is that you can only get there when you realize who made you number one. You have to thank those who competed and challenged you to go beyond your own abilities. In my book they are number one too.

As an athlete I competed to be the best and in my day I was number one and I only got there by pushing myself and competing against the best. In politics I learned very quickly that to be number one, it was not about you, but about them; The Voter, they were really number one, I was merely there to serve. In business it was not about the me, the CEO of a franchising company serving 450 cities, 110 markets, 23 states and four countries, it was about the customer. It was always about serving the customer and our franchisee team.

Now as a writer using that same competitive spirit, I see once again it has little to do with the writer, but rather you the reader. You are number one, not me, I just post the numbers in honor of you; do you see? On the internet it is not about the companies, websites, ISPs or backbone infrastructure it is about you; The Internet Surfer who has come to view.

I reflect back and it is so clear now and if there are any words of advice I can give you to help you become number one. It is this. When you make everyone else number one, all around you; then you can join them and be number one too. One with all of us and so my friends I thank you again, thank you for letting me serve.

It's been a long tough road, but I would do it again for you, for us. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
