The amount of government spending on information technologies has been hundreds of billions of dollars within the last five years. These huge expenditures are having an incredible affect on how we disseminate, collect and use data and information; not only in the public sector, but also in the private sector.

The future of IT is alive and well. With the advance of artificially intelligent systems integrated together with modern-day IT we are beginning to see transformation and increased efficiency that can only be dreamt of in past periods.

Many privacy advocates are very worried and are warning people of the problems that we face in the future with information technologies. A bad piece of data and hardships in your life could occur and we know from identity theft that so often it is hard to fix problems or erroneous data.

Nevertheless IT systems offer a wealth of information and data mining opportunities. Not only can super IT systems protect our citizenry from those that might wish us harm, but they can also quickly locate anomalies in the data and red flag potential dangers.

With the wealth of information and data have been put into IT systems in both the public and private sector; artificially intelligent machines and computers will be able to use this information and collected data with supercomputing capabilities to render the best possible answer to every crisis or problem.

With unlimited data and memory storage the chances of a human being being able to better the best efforts of a completely integrated IT system are virtually impossible.
