The 7 secrets of motivation was the subject of a free teleconference offered by one of Mike Litman’s success coaches Anna. The motivational session offered great insights a few of which I will discuss here for your benefit. 1.Have a vision Nothing can be achieved unless first a vision of that goal is properly created and nurtured. Whatever you wish for in life, write it down as a goal, yes a goal for that is one step higher than a wish. Then turning this goal into a vision is what gives it LIFE. During his early days in Hollywood Steve Chandler asked Arnold Schwarzenegger how he was going to accomplish his goal of, as Arnold Confidently put it to him “be the number one box office star in all of Hollywood”. Arnold’s answer was both precise and practical. It is simple, he said, what you do is just create a picture of what you want to do and live into that picture as if it were real. Have a goal, state your vision, no do not just state your vision, picture it, “taste it, feel it, touch it”, says Anna Goldstein and work your way to its fulfillment. 2.“Clear that path to Motivation” Get rid of the clutter, in other words, “de-clutter your life”. Do not let things pile up on your desk or anywhere in your environment because that kills your motivation. Am going to move one step further on this by extending it beyond the physical clutter that it is supposed to be. Clear your mind of all the psychological and emotional clutters of negative thinking, fear, and anger; they are obstacles to motivation and self-fulfillment. 3.talk your way to success Psychologists have noticed that the average person talks to herself about 800 words per minute. The worse bit of this startling discovery is that most of this self-talk is negative. You talk to yourself every minute trying to justify your current status; resisting the need for positive change in a fast-paced world that has no constant but change alone. Make your self-talk positive. Tell yourself all the good things, the good habits you need to acquire, in a word, talk your way into motivation and meaningful achievement. In the words of Anna Goldstein, take action now! Any type of result moves you forward. Doing something wrong is better than not doing it at all.
