There are some interesting education related Exhibitions that take place in the UK each year. Below we highlight five of the main events. Birmingham's NEC is one of the venues for the 'Recruitment and Careers' show which always attracts a large crowd. This show takes place in various locations throughout the year including Manchester, London and Birmingham. This show is perfect for job seekers as it offers one the chance to get expert advice on a variety of matters from CV writing and interview techniques to covering letters and work placements. This year's show is on the 6th July 2008. The Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) holds a number of events annually throughout the UK at various locations including the Harrogate International Centre. The CIPD organise events such as the 'Annual Coaching Conference' and the 'HR Software Show' and they are heavily involved in the field of education. The Harrogate show for 2008 takes place between the 16th and 18th September. The 'Graduate Recruitment Fair' in Edinburgh takes place at the PlayFair Library Hall between the 20th and 22nd November 2008. It is another event that is certain to attract a number of visitors and is popular for people involved with the field of education. One of the bigger events involving education is the 'Design and Technology with ICT Education Show' which takes place in the NEC in Birmingham between the 20th and 22nd November 2008. There are scheduled to be a number of workshops and classes, with this exhibition specifically being targeted towards educators and people involved with education. The aim of which is to present the latest Information, Computers and Technology (ICT) software, tools and opportunities. The show focuses on education in schools with some exhibits being created by students. In all, there are expected to be more than one hundred exhibitors present, masking this a very large show indeed. The 'National Medical Careers Fair' is another event that may be of interest to people looking to work and learn in the medical field as well as recruiters with jobs to offer to the medical industry. The exhibitor list for this show includes companies such as Elsevier Ltd, The General Medical Council, International Medical Recruitment and the NHS Professionals to name but a few. The show takes place in the Business Design Centre in Islington, London and will be held on the 4th October 2008.
