The potential to buy and sell on eBay for extreme profits is huge. No where else in the world can you list your item for sale and instantly expose it to potentially millions of ready to pay buyers who are screaming out for your product. Unfortunately, locating hot selling products is slightly more difficult than one might expect, but if you are yourself with the five product sourcing tips outlined in this article, then locating products for your eBay selling efforts will be made just that little bit easier.Garage or car boot salesSome people don’t realise the worth of their own items. Or alternatively, they’re too lazy to sell it on eBay, so instead they bundle it together with a load of other junk and sell it at garage or car boot sales. They usually price everything at a dollar or so no matter what the worth of the item is – they just want to get rid. Take advantage of these people, snap up their valuable items and sell it on eBay.Closing down storesThis is a method I’ve used in the past, but I could have used it to much greater potential. In my local town, there was a major sports clothes and equipment shop shutting down. It was trying to get rid of all of its stock, so I went down there. They didn’t have many items left, but one thing caught my eye. A pair of football boots which retail for £70 and were selling for £25 and at Buy One Get One Free. So I snapped up two pairs for £25.I took them home, set up a listing and sold one pair for £53 and another pair for £60. I must of made over £80 for what was less than an hours work. If I’d of been smart I would have bought more pairs and sold them as well. Unfortunately the shop had closed down by the time I’d returned.Find some shops closing down and pop in to see if you can grab a bargain.Misspelled auctionsIt’s a sad fact that some eBay sellers spell their auction title incorrectly despite the importance of a powerful auction title. You can take advantage however, by locating these misspelled auctions, buying them cheap and selling them properly for a profit.Consignment sellingThis is selling items for other people and taking a percentage of the sales revenue. The advantage to this is that there is no risk to you because there are no upfront costs. Team up with friends and family and offer to sell their items for them in exchange for a cut and you can expand upon this by teaming up with local businesses and selling their stock for them on eBay in exchange for a percentage of the sales revenue.Wholesale and dropship suppliersThis is the most common method of product sourcing. The hard part is finding a price efficient and reliable dropshipper or wholesaler, but once you have one of them you are set up.
