The UK is a country where there are a number of excellent exhibition venues with Birmingham's NEC, Manchester's GMEX, London's Earls Court, Olympia and ExCel exhibition venues and Scotland's SECC. There are several hundred's of large international exhibitions in these venues and below we look at 5 annual trade exhibitions worth attending in the future. 1. The British Travel Trade Fair - is a trade fair which takes place every year and in 2008 takes place at the NEC in Birmingham and often as part of British Tourism Week. This trade exhibition always brings together everyone involved at every level of the tourism industry and is usually very well attended. Exhibitors and attendees usually includes all of the localised tourism boards and organisations, many companies linkd with transportation in the UK, companies involved with the accommodation and also a number of International companies and transportation related companies. 2. The 'Promotional Marketing' trade show - is a relatively new show but one which is fast becoming popular and this year is being held in the Olympia exhibition venue in London. This event is usually sponsored by The 'British Promotional Merchandise Association' and other partners such as the ISP and VA. A lot of the big players in the marketing industry come together for this event and online marketing is becoming a bigger part of the event every year, as expenditure for online marketing continues to gain importance. The exhibitors are diverse in the nature of the business, due to the huge range of businesses who will have the need to involve themselves with marketing. Exhibitors often for example include many of ht large retail chains, travel companies and the Direct Marketing Association, for example. 3. The 'Airline Purchasing Expo' tends to be a trade show which attracts a number of people and attracts a very specific crowd who are interested in and work in fields such as aerospace, defence and transport. This event is often held in London and is quite impressive with a lot of new technology often on display at this event and with some major companies present. Some big deals take place at this event each year. 4. Manchester Furniture Show is a trade exhibition which takes place annually and is one of the main furniture trade shows in the UK each year. If furniture is your industry then this specialised show will very likely be of deep interest to you. 5. The Oceanology International Show often takes place at the ExCel Centre in London and this is considered one of the top events of its kind, in the world. Experts, businesses and people from all areas connected to Oceanology make the track to London for this impressive trade show.
