The E-Commerce 2008 Exhibition will run from the 28th to the 29th of October at Olympia's prestigious National Hall in London. Visitors can look forward to free entry, free access to all education and a free copy of the exhibition catalogue. Said to be the largest exhibition in the UK dedicated exclusively to e-commerce, the event is expected to include more than 150 exhibitors and offers over 60 educational sessions. Attendees may include both seasoned professionals and new ventures into the e-commerce field. The free conference program includes independently researched topics and segmented content. The sessions are split into small modules that occur at regular intervals through the day, enabling visitors to visit the rest of the exhibition attractions while remaining up to date on the topics presented at the conference. Four tracks have been selected for the conference. These include advice for new entrants, advice on gaining a competitive edge, a closer look at the future of e-commerce, and considerations of technology solutions. The event website publishes details of the speeches by keynote speakers. Top speakers at the conference will include both suppliers and end users and appropriate case studies will be examined in detail. The event aims to help visitors learn how to convert web traffic into paying clients and understand client behaviour on a website. It will also help enlighten individuals on how to reduce the loss of client interest and how to align online and offline businesses. Advice will be offered on how to provide 24/7 availability of service. In short, the exhibition covers four main focus areas: acquisition, conversion, fulfilment and retention. Approximately 3,500 visitors are expected to attend the event this year. Last year, attendance amounted to 2,443 attendees coming from a marketing, IT, logistics, and related fields. Past exhibitors expressed enthusiasm over the participation of big brands in Internet retailing as well as the high attendance of businessmen and technical agents. They were also pleased with the number of leads they generated as a result of participating in the e-commerce exhibition. The event has gained a reputation for putting exhibitors in direct contact with relevant senior decision makers in the industry. In fact, 40% of attendees at last year's event were at the Director level and above in their respective organizations. Representatives from major verticals and pure play companies attended last year's event and will likely return for this year's exhibition to showcase their products and services alongside their peers in the industry.
