There are entirely too many people surfing around the internet these days that believe that they are going to find overnight success. I want to save them some time and heartache by letting them know that there's no such thing. It doesn't exist and doesn't happen. Even if someone wins the lottery, that doesn't make them a success! That makes them exactly what they were, just with more money.So why is it that so many people believe that they can become an overnight success? Is it because of programs like American Idol and the like? Programs such as this probably have something to do with it, but keep in mind; those people aren't "overnight" successes either. The good ones have been practicing their craft for quite a long time; they simply get discovered by these various shows. I'm sure every single one of them would tell you that they are not an overnight success.It takes years of hard work to become an overnight success. I'm sure you've heard someone say that before. Well, it's true. Remember what Bo Bennett said, "Anyone who wants to sell you overnight success or wealth is not interested in your success; they are interested in your money." No truer words may have ever been spoken. This is especially true when it come to success on the internet. Many people tend to believe that you can become an overnight success on the internet. The people telling you that are only interested in your money, Mr. Bennett is exactly right.It's a statement that's most certainly worth keeping in the back of your mind. There simply is no such thing as an overnight success, and anyone who is making claims to the contrary is not being truthful with you. Being an overnight success takes years of hard work, it's as simple as that.
