Academic Capture of Foreign Students at Issue

If the United States of America is not careful we will continue to experience the brain drain which is causing us to lose our strong lead in the sciences and in innovation and this will have long-term and dire consequences to our economy and future, not to mention the forward progression of mankind across the globe. Already many corporations who hire degreed computer science students and engineers are complaining at that labor pool and worried about their future.

This is causing many corporations like HP, Dell, Microsoft to seek off shored corporate research and development locations in other nations. That cannot possibly be good for the future of our nation. Indeed it is not good and it gets even worse when you consider National Security, Military and government needs when they hire and contract with companies, which help them.

You see, we cannot allow certain jobs or companies to outsource because that jeopardizing our national security. We are not producing enough home grown engineers and we do not have enough students going into the sciences or even scoring high in mathematics. This means we are failing in our goals and shows that we will indeed be hampered in our forward progression far into the future. Consider this in 2006.
