All West Selects Latens Conditional Access to Secure IPTV Services and Partner ILECs

Latens Systems, the leading provider of IPTV Conditional Access, today announces that All West Communications, Inc., a leading provider of IPTV services in the state of Utah, has selected the Latens FCAS Conditional Access solution to secure its advanced IPTV services.

“We chose Latens because it has an enviable track record in real-world deployments and offers a complete and flexible solution that satisfies our ambitious service offer in the short and long term,” states Tony DiStefano, General Manager and COO at All West. “We simply cannot afford to risk our business model by not being able to provide strong encryption of our IPTV signals making up the multi-stream distributed to the STB.”

FCAS will integrate with the Entone VOD server and Hydra II multi-stream set-top box and with Minerva’s iTV Manager, to provide an end-to-end IPTV solution. This solution enables All West to offer its subscribers secured video services that include Pay-TV, High Definition (HD), personal video recording (PVR), video-on-demand (VOD), and subscription video-on-demand (SVOD).

“FCAS is Latens’ entry level Conditional Access solution for the IOC market. It scales from 500 to 100,000 IPTV STBs without additional cost or changes to the IOC’s network.
