Article Marketers need to be ultra careful about making Internet Users scroll down the page to read their online articles. It has been estimated that asking an Internet User to scroll down the page will inevitably cause 40% of them to exit or click out. Obviously this defeats the entire purpose of what it is you are trying to do. Unless of course you have click ads and then there is a greater chance they might click on one of those.Of course you must also consider that an upset reader who is forced to scroll the page, will go to less pages on your website and they will eventually leave because it is too difficult to navigate or aggravating. Many folks while surfing on the Internet are doing two things at once such as; watching TV, listening to the radio, sipping on a drink or even eating and they do not wish to keep scrolling and put that curser on the little down error way in the corner of the screen. In fact MRI brain scans show areas of the brain that light up, which have to do with irritating circumstances as people are working on a computer and forced to scroll down. In essence it is real and it really irks Internet and computer users and therefore shorter articles are indeed better to keep your targeted traffic on your website.Additionally, you may wish to consider that if you put your articles on an online article site that the longer your article is the more chances that they will click out on the online article submission sites click ads or hit the back button and leave. So, brevity can be your friend, as the Internet Surfer can read the whole article without scrolling and still find your byline and link to click on. So, it makes sense to keep your articles under 500 words to help with this issue. Please consider this in 2006.
