What do article marketing and SEO have in common? Well, they are both designed to get your web site to a higher position in the search engines. Preferably the top ten results for your keyword. Now, some top ten results are harder to get to than others. And sometimes it is better to get 10 top ten results for similar or related keywords than try to break into a top ten spot where the other top ten have been there for a long time and do everything right. But think about this. All you need to do to get into the top ten is to do everything that they do, and just a little more. Think about this. The search engines use a formula, one that continually readjusts where web sites should rank. And it never locks one site into a top ten spot and guarantees it forever, right? So if your web site matches the formula better than theirs, you win, right?Sure, why not? Now longevity is most probably one of the variables in the formula. So since your site is newer, you may have to do a lot of other things a little bit better than the other web sites so that your site will have a higher overall score. But why not? Buy a good tool to figure out what they are doing, and just do it better. And that is where article marketing can come in. When you write articles and submit them to the right directories, you can get many fresh links coming in to your web site and this can bounce you up in the formula. And perhaps some of the longer-loved sites have gotten comfortable in #1 and have forgotten that they have to continually build links.
