Article marketing is the process of writing articles, including links to your own web pages, and submitting them to the various online article directories. The idea is that the online article directories have the traffic to promote your articles, and you are giving them the content to satisfy the search engines.Article marketing is one of my favorite forms of traffic generation. Although it builds traffic slowly and sometimes sporadically, I like it because the clicks are generally from people who already like me and are therefore more likely to purchase from me. Because they already like my style, they tend to spend more when the subscribe. What I mean by ‘already like me’ is that they already identify with my style, and like it enough to click through to my site. This makes this person a far more qualified lead than one that clicks through from just about any other ad source. The article marketed lead is one of my very strongest lead online. There are many online directories that publish articles for the purpose of disseminating good information, or even to add web pages to their own site. Whatever their purpose, it doesn’t matter to me. I simply like the fact that they publish my article, market it online, and people have a chance to read my article. Although they are generally earning an advertising revenue from the content, I am getting traffic – it is truly a symbiotic relationship. And I feel I get more out of it per article than they do – and I like that. Of course for them, the big picture is having multiple writers like myself donating original content for their use.
