Many people have been talking about the incredible amount of violence from the insurgency in Iraq in the summer of 2006. Many people also blamed the influence from Iran as part of increased violence. However, it should additionally be noted that the ambient temperature in Iraq when it goes up over 100° seems to have an effect on the increased violence. This is an interesting philosophical question; does the ambient temperature in Iraq have anything to do with the increased violence day over day.Certainly we can look at the weather records and look at the ambient temperatures based on the number of people killed each day. I think if you do this you will figure out that violence does have something to do with ambient temperature and that is why there is more violence during the summertime. Of course the influence of Iran would also have something to do with it on top of that. Why do I make this bold statement? Well, I have been studying the crime in places like Los Angeles and Phoenix, Arizona during the hottest times of the year. I have noticed a significant amount of road rage when the temperatures are in excess of 100°. High temperatures make people more irritable and increased stress. This may cause people to act in a more violent way and take out their aggression more quickly. Please consider all this in 2006.
