As the World Turns so Commeth the Sun; Solar Energy Comes Alive

Every Day the Earth turns and as it turns one side is facing the sun and that is a perfect opportunity to collect some of that solar energy as it hits our Pale Blue Dot. Why would we waste free energy that is pointed straight at us? Solar energy makes sense for so many reasons and maybe the Aztecs were correct maybe we should be worshiping the sun and all that free energy?

Thanks to recent technology breakthroughs in battery storage and in solar cell efficiencies we can now collect the energy almost 3 times as efficient as we could a decade ago and all this technology is already for sale at the retail level and it will only get better from here.

Meanwhile the battery technology for storage is also getting much better and it to is twice as efficient. But that is not all; solar cell materials can now be made and of many different things and the cost to produce solar cells is half what it was five years ago.

When you put all that together along with the Bush Administration's alternative energy initiatives it can only mean one thing. The human race has a bright future in solar energy. As the World Turns so commeth the Sun and our Solar Energy comes alive every day we spin. Please consider all this in 2006.
