Are you interested in a home-based business? Sure you are, who’s not right? Hell, I have one, but am embarrassed at many of the terds that I come across floating around the toilet bowl we all call the internet. The thing that rubs me the wrong way with much of what I see is the completely unreal expectations. And then the promises of receiving “all the customers in the world” with almost no work from you the business owner. In reality, I don’t know what gets me worked up more….the promise of easy riches or the people who actually believe that it’s possible to become wealthy with little or no effort on their part.In any case you need to be aware of the fact that if you’re going to have a home based business, it’s going to require work on your part. Money is not simply going to fall out of the sky. I realize that it can be difficult to ignore someone who is claiming to make five thousand dollars a month…part time, while they’re grinning ear to ear while getting into their convertible Porsche, but you’re going to have to. These types of situations, if true, are aberrations, not the norm. Making money, just like getting anything of value, takes some degree of work and isn’t all just fun and games.So in your search for a home based business, just beware. It is possible to work from home, and make a good living doing it, just watch out for those terds, because there are a ton of them. Remember what your father told you years ago, “If it sounds to good to be true, IT IS!” Keep that saying in the back of your mind as you proceed.There is hope though, and I don’t want to completely rain on your parade, because it is more than possible to have your own home based business and do quite well. I’m just tired of people getting taken advantage of with totally crazy claims and expectations. And remember to be successful in almost any home-based business on this planet; you’re going to have to “sell” something. So any opportunity that claims that you won’t have to “sell” something, is not being truthful, it’s as simple as that. Don’t give up hope though, as I said it is possible to succeed with a home-based business.Just remember what Octave Mirbeau said, “To take something from a person and keep it for oneself: that is robbery. To take something from one person and then turn it over to another in exchange for as much money as you can get: that is business. Robbery is so much more stupid, since it is satisfied with a single, frequently dangerous profit; whereas in business it can be doubled without danger.”
