By: Lance Winslow

Communication between your customers, your advertisers and your vendor partners in any online business is essential. Many online web sites will use Blogs or Forums to communicate with their customers and team partners. Let's take a look at a case study where a Blog was used by an online article submission web site to communicate with its online article authors and article marketers.

An online article submission web site deleted a category due to a request by a very good advertiser. A couple of the authors were upset and were able to express their concerns on the blog. We note that it is really good for the online article submission web site to have this feed back so the people at the web site can address this in the future. Wow, this Blog really did help dialogue and allow for everyone’s concerns. Without this Blog there could be hurt feelings of the web sites staff and Team and even some Article Authors too.

Next time there will probably be more heads up time given to those who proliferate in a particular category prior to the combining or elimination and they indeed should be contacted individually. Another comment was made that; Maybe the top 10-15 authors in the category would be contacted; especially because there are great article authors, who using all the tools that the web site offers to promote their articles and online businesses.

Maybe a contact protocol prior to major changes might be; Those authors who have 10 or more articles in a category and are in the top 1-15. This might solve the potential conflict that one of the authors raised. This way they can adjust things on their side so that every thing synchromeshes together. It will provide better fluidity of motion and ease for the Internet Surfer too.

In this case study we show how communication and collaboration for a web site and its users, partners, advertisers and staff can all benefit. The use of this Blog to Communicate with authors for the online article submission website had helped immensely. Please consider all this in 2006.
