Do You Actually Know What A Home Business Is?

I realize that this may seem like a very elementary question, but in my experience there is some confusion about what a home business actually is. I talk with people everyday who think that having a home business is like having a job that you work out of your home. This is NOT the case. There are no salaries or hourly wages involved in a home business. A home business is a BUISNESS that you work out of your home, rather than an office. It's not a job.

There are a few attributes that you need to have if you want to achieve any kind of success with a home business. If you don't have these attributes, then you must begin developing them Today!

1) Perseverance - perseverance is defined as: The act of persevering; persistence in anything undertaken; continued pursuit or prosecution of any business, or enterprise begun. This is an attribute that's an absolute must. You must be willing to persevere when things seem grim. Here's a quote about perseverance as well as our next attribute from John Quincy Adams "Patience and perseverance have a magical affect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish."

2) Patience - Mr. Adams speaks the truth. Patience is integral, not only in fishing, but also in a home business. If you don't have patience it's something you need to begin developing as soon as possible.

The bottom line is that a home business isn't anything like a job. A job is for someone who wants something guaranteed. If they show up to work they want to get paid a predetermined amount of money, and this is fine. It's just not a home business. A home business requires doing work and then getting paid, sometime in the future. This simple fact needs to be understood by anyone reading this article.

Now that you know what a home business actually is, hopefully it's something that interests you. If not, no big deal, at least now you'll know what to look for. Remember, a home business is just that… a business, not a job.
