The Department of Motor Vehicles of all states requires you to write and pass a knowledge test before you are granted a license to drive. Most of the knowledge tests now make use of the latest technology.They are administered on computerized systems. These computerized systems use touch screens that provide you with instant feedback about whether the answer you gave is correct or not.Some states or situations require you to take multiple tests. In such cases, this computerized system will automatically advance to the next test.There is also an option to take the test using the help of audio. These tests take anywhere from 45 minutes to more than one hour to complete. To reduce inconvenience, these tests are conducted on a walk-in basis and no prior appointment in necessary.
