eBay: Make Money Selling The Most Valuable Commodity On The Planet is about…• How anybody can make their fortune prospecting the eBay goldmine.• Why so many people fall short.• How you can avoid the same banana skins! The most valuable commodity on the planet is of course information and vast fortunes have been made selling it in one form or another. It is the ultimate minimal risk high profits megabucks commodity. But selling information on eBay is not going to rock your world if you can't avoid the following banana skins…Here is your first banana skin avoidance measure…Believe the hype! The eBay hype suggests that it is a marketing Tyrannosaurus Rex with over 100 million registered members and 1.5 billion page views every month. Alas, not many people know how to put this monster to work and will end up with little more than bread crumbs to show for all of their efforts.Put simply, if you can get your head around the size of this mega beast you'll understand the enormous opportunity staring you in the face! And your second banana skin…Traffic starvation.Without visitors - and plenty of them - your auctions will wither on the vine and perish. But there is a solution… If all else fails do what the pros do, reach for your plastic.eBay’s Feature Plus option is expensive but it brings in the traffic. Include a counter when you set up your auction so that you know how many visitors actually turn up, it is very useful to know your number of visitors to sales ratio. Now you're thinking that what with the additional expense plus the fees you aren't going to make any money right? Wrong! The Third Banana skin avoidance measure…Be a Pro, always! This is where amateurs and pros diverge.Amateurs it seems to me are prone to going with what they know even if what they know is barely making a dent on their wallets or expectations.A pro would only ever sell a product where fees and the additional expense of Feature Plus would be covered by a single sale knowing, that just one more sale after that puts her/him in the money, simple isn't it?It's a business model that any off line direct mail marketer would recognize straight off the bat. In the end it's a game of numbers! And your fourth banana skin avoidance measure…It's The Auction Title Stupid!A favored guru sent the above in an email.Of course he was right but he could have been just a little more diplomatic to his mailing list! The point is even if you reach for your plastic, visitors still are not going to turn up at your auction if you do not give them a decent, titillating, curiosity stirring auction title to click on.Your title is the equivalent of a fisherman’s bait. If the bait isn’t doing it for the fish, it’s not going to bite! So how do you sweeten your own bait?Simple, include "keywords" in the title that your potential visitor might have used themselves when they initially searched for your product.A certain degree of skill is required to write an effective auction title. Frankly it is not a skill I’ve ever been particularly eager to master due to time constraints so I… cheat! Here’s one way…Go to Google and search for whatever it is you are selling. Look down the right side of your search results and you will see a column of four-line sponsored ads.Notice the classified ad style in which they are written.Find one that closely matches what you would like to say about your own goods but do not copy it, ok?That's called plagiarism and it's unlawful. You can however use them as a source of inspiration for your own auction titles. These ads aren’t cheap to run so they are generally, sharp, well written and to the point like all good classifieds. Just as with auction titles keywords are used to pull in viewers. These banana skin avoidance measures will set you on the road to being an eBay pro and a better prepared auction fortune hunter!
