Everyone Is Going To Die With Unfinished Business

By: Tim Connor

You will die with some unfinished business.

The clock of God is TickingTickingTicking. The days pass into weeks, the weeks into years, and you guessed it, one day the clock will stop for us in this lifetime and the calendar will hit its last day.

The passing of life never comes at a good time for most people. There was always something left to: do, become, learn, say, and see. I have accepted the fact that one day one of my books will not be completed. I hope it isn't this one, cause it is really good. (If you got this far you think so too, if you didn't you don't even know I said it, so it doesn't matter.) The people who tend to be the most upset by leaving unfinished business are those people who spent most of their time living in the future.

They were busy making plans, setting goals, and working on the next deal or project. People who are happy understand that today is a gift to do with what they can. The time for anything is not yesterday or tomorrow, but now. When they live in this way they don't get all worked up because God has called them home.

One way to know whether your work here - is done or not - is whether you are here. As long as you are still alive, you have something more to do in God's master plan. It doesn't matter whether you are 8, 18, 48 or 80. When it is time to check out, all the fighting, wailing, and complaining won't help. Your mission is complete. So relax. Enjoy the rest of your life. However, much of it is left to you. When the clock stops, it is time to move on.
