Eye exercises It is certainly true that doing eye exercises will improve your vision. Doing consistent eye exercises will not enable you to do away with your glasses, but it will harden the muscles of your eye, improving your ability to focus and counteracting the stress that your eyes are put under from day to day. Before you work out in the gym, it is sensible for you to warm up the muscles gently. The same is true of your eyes. Discard your contact lenses or glasses, if you wear any, and take deep breaths while concentrating on your eyes. It is important to do eye exercises a number of times each day if you wish to improve vision. The serious (do not worry, they will not hurt!) eye exercises will tighten the muscles of the eye, warding off eye strain and leaving you with clear vision. The first of the eye exercises involves closing your eyes as tight as you can for just a few seconds, then opening them up again really wide for another few seconds. Repeat this exercise at least four times everyday. The second of the eye exercises involves rubbing your hands together quickly until they warm up. This exercise will help you improve vision. Cup your hands and place your palms over your eyes (eyes open) and stay like that for half a minute. Let your eyes settle into the darkness while you breathe deeply, then move your hands away and do a few slow blinks. In the third of the eye exercises you put your fingers lightly onto your temples and begin to rub in a round, circular motion. You must now imagine, with closed eyes, the sensation of your lower and upper eyelids touching. After opening your eyes for five seconds begin again. This will help you improve vision gradually. After completing the exercise five times blink rapidly but gently ten times; do not move your fingers from your temples. If there is any movement below your fingers then blink less hard. The fourth of the eye exercises involves rolling your eyes. You must stare straight ahead and pretend that you are facing an enormous clock. Without moving your head, direct your gaze in a controlled movement out towards each of the numbers on the clock face. Go clockwise around the clock first, and then immediately go back anti-clockwise. The next move is to push your eyes up to twelve o’clock, and then push up higher still. Now push down to and through six o’clock, before moving to three and then nine. The fifth of the eye exercises involves shifting your focus. Stretch your arm out in front of you and hold your finger up straight. Now look beyond your finger to any object in the distance. Focus on this object for five seconds before bringing your gaze back, slowly, to your finger. Repeat this for a few minutes. It is a fact that eye exercises improve vision. If you want to have a good vision, eye exercise is compulsory for you.
