Fast Company Magazine’s Third Annual MASTERS OF DESIGN Issue Lands Several New Advertisers

Fast Company magazine today announced that its third annual MASTERS OF DESIGN (October) issue, on newsstands now, has drawn great response from several new advertisers that include Microsoft Windows Mobile, AT&T Small Business, Bose, Casio, and My M&Ms. This year’s MASTERS OF DESIGN issue showed a 12% increase in advertising pages over last year’s issue (source: PIB).

“Fast Company’s MASTERS OF DESIGN issue has quickly achieved a loyal following of leading advertisers that understand the impact of design innovations on their company’s product sales and brand reputation,” said Jayson Goldberg, publishing director for Fast Company magazine. “Fast Company was the first business magazine to recognize the critical importance of design in business and the first title to dedicate an entire special issue to showcase the companies and thought leaders that are driving their organization’s growth though design innovation.”

Fast Company’s MASTERS OF DESIGN issue features top designers who are impacting the world of business – as seen in everything from package design to organizational structure to modern architecture to discount chains. These top designers will be honored at a Fast Company MASTERS OF DESIGN Awards ceremony tomorrow at 7:00 pm at The Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. The event’s Keynote speaker Roger Martin, dean of the Rotman School of Management, will discuss the intersection of business and design and how business leaders can best make that relationship work.

The event’s sponsors include Kendall-Jackson, Effen Vodka, Sharpie, Method, Segway, CSB Commodities (the Ex Knife), Big Apple Florist, Ray20, CEO IQ, and OfficeDesigns.com.

The Fast Company 2006 MASTERS OF DESIGN Award winners are:

The Awards event will feature an interactive gallery of the Masters’ work and Fast Company editors’ favorite design picks of the year. “Next Generation” designers who are creating the future of design will also be recognized at the Awards ceremony.
