So if fishing is what interests you, Flathead Lake can provide it.The scenery that the lake provides is as good as you will see anywhere. The beauty of the surrounding mountains is hard to beat. If you're looking for a quick day trip during your vacation, hiking trails are scattered throughout the mountains that surround the lake. And for the more adventurous folks, Glacier National Park is only about 40 miles from Flathead Lake. All in all, Flathead Lake is a wonderful vacation destination and the place to be if you're interested in anything that has to do with outdoor activities. You will never run out of things to do, and if you time your trip correctly, you may even get to enjoy some delicious Flathead Lake cherries
