Many people have recognized the value of obtaining the online CPR certificate. Once only required for the health industry, it is now a prerequisite for a growing number of employment positions. Taking the time to sit for the online CPR certificate not only enhances job prospects, but it guarantees that you will be a very valuable member of any workforce. Being able to sit for the online CPR certificate has been of enormous help to many employers. Most of us recognize that this certificate would be required for positions in the health industry as well as safety and emergency response teams, lifeguards etc. But not many realise that it is required for instance for those who are involved in athletic training, or wish to work in the airlines. There are many online CPR certificate courses offered which are suitable for those who are being certified for the first time or those that are required to obtain recertification. Certificates generally last for 2 years, at which stage they must be renewed. The online availability of courses has streamlined this process, making it far more convenient and cost effective to most people. Quite often the online CPR certificate is partnered with online first aid courses. This is almost a certainty for any employment in the health and wellness industries. Blended online CPR certificates are extremely popular with a lot of employers. This is because students spend time with a trainer who actually demonstrates the techniques that they have learnt. The blended courses will also often include classes on bloodborne pathogens. Unfortunately not all online CPR certificate courses are equal. Some are not recognized nationally nor are they approved by the US government. It is important to check the credentials of the online course to make sure that you will end up with a certificate that is accepted right throughout the US. Many people have fallen victim to fancy advertising campaigns, and the convenience of being able to attend to all the study online, and then printing the CPR certificate from their own computer and printer. This is all very well, until you come to the stage of being required to present your certificate to your new employer and find that it is rejected by that company as not meeting the appropriate guidelines. This is not a good situation to be in. There are many online CPR certificates that meet the correct guidelines. This may be through the American Heart Association, or even the Red Cross. Whichever course you decide to take it is essential that it is nationally recognized by not only government agencies, but also schools and hospitals. In case of failing the test the first time, some courses will charge an extra $10 to retake the test. Be aware that this is a rip-off. Charges do vary for online CPR certificates, but generally the fees of around $20 are acceptable. Some charge more, even up to $30, but they may not necessarily be offering more to the student. Employers or schools who wish to organize group bookings will always be able to negotiate a much better deal for either their workers or students.
