By: Cindy Ferguson

He learned how to play rugby at St Edwards School located in Oxford and obtained a lot of practice by playing as a mini and junior for with Bicester RFC.

In 1999 he was unable to participate in England’s U18 Group School cap, however, in 2002; he did make it to England’s U21 where he’s made his first appearance against Wales in the city of Bristol. The following June Forrester went on to play for England XV against the Barbarians in Twickenham a match in which he attained an unforgettable 65-meter try and outperformed Jonah Lomu throughout the course of the game.

During the years 2003-2004 he made continuous success while playing with England A despite the fact that he was somewhat affected by injuries in his elbow and shoulder on two different occasions.

In the summer of 2004 Forrester proceeded to play for Gloucester by signing a three-year contract and is now one of the key players for that club.
