Your goal setting is a form of art if you do it properly, because of the amount of creativity involved with the process. Good goal setters have clear defined statements and achievement points forming a very clear picture. A bad goal setter has very vague statements and achievement points, which you guessed it, form a very abstract picture.An artists painting has to form something, which is good to look at. Even in abstract art, the artist has clear defined color and lines, and detail, which form the piece of artwork. A goal setter needs to think of their goal as a picture, the more work and time they put into their goals making them clearer, the better quality their goals picture will become.Because a goal is something you wish to achieve in a definite point in time. You need to paint yourself clear, accurate real picture of your goal. Sometimes you cannot write clear and accurate information about your goal, because of lack of knowledge and information about the goal. This is quite normal for big, complicated goals. Start the process and write about the goal as much as you can. I call these processes, the goal painting process, as you go the detail of your goal will form.If you find that you tend to write very abstract goals you need to set up a system for yourself. The more you use your system; the clearer defined your goals become. When I first started writing goals down and forming the total picture, I found that after a while my goal setting became more structured, more complex, and the goals in turn were more achievable.Here are some of the things you need to do on your goal canvas.
