Free Goal Setting for Success Ebook! Setting personal goals is like writing the next chapter of your life. If you do not establish clear goals for yourself, where will you end up? Probably not where you want to be. Everyone has had or currently has at least one goal that they will strive to accomplish. Did you start at the bottom in the company in which you now work in management? If so, you had a goal. Your goal was to make it to a better and higher paying position. You may not be finished with your personal goal setting when it comes to your career. Now that you have made it to management, maybe you are setting your eye on a corporate leadership position, or perhaps you plan to create a business of your own. Even though this may seem to be a career goal, it is a personal goal as well. When you succeed in your career, you also benefit personally. Having more money to afford the finer things in life is definitely a goal that everyone would like to achieve. When you decide you want your life to go in a certain direction, you will find that you are more in tune with your own feelings. If you set your sights on accomplishing something one step at a time, you will diminish stress and be able to handle any setbacks you may have. There will always be hurdles to jump, but with a goal in mind you will have the desire to press on. No one wants to fail, and the fear of failure can affect your goals. However, the only failure in life is when you quit, so as long as you keep fighting, you’ll never fail. With a good personal goal setting plan, you will be more focused on reaching each step toward your goal. A positive attitude will carry you through each week, month, or year that it takes to get there by keeping you focused on the end result. The first step to achieving a goal is having one. Sitting down with a pen and paper and writing down your goals will make them seem more real. Put them in the order in which you plan to work on them. Which goal would you like to accomplish first? When you take the time to prioritize your goals, you’ll be more likely to stay focused and make consistent progress toward achieving your goals. When you were a child, you learned to crawl, walk, run, and jump. Once again you will learn to take your first steps toward your future. Just do not confuse the order of task that you must accomplish. Take it one crawl or step at a time. Eventually, you’ll be running with the achievement of your goal in plain sight. Keep one thing in mind. If you think that you cannot get up and take those first steps, most likely you will not. You must believe you can, and you need to get up and do whatever it takes to begin, now. Putting it off until tomorrow is not going to be a method that you want to start using. Tomorrow will never come and you will find yourself wondering why you did not stand up and take action toward creating the brighter future you deserve. Do not let this be the end of your dreams and wishes for your life. If you do not take care of your own personal wishes, no one else will do it for you. Believe in yourself, and go make it happen.
