As I listen to the speaker from Pakistan at our small church, I was spell bound and struck by his open and powerful testimony of how God has used him. I had to listen closely to his broken English, but his message came across strong and clear. I learned the truth about life under the Musilum and Taliban influence, and although I had heard about souch things in the news it was quite different hearing about it first hand.About twenty years ago my father-in-law was filled with the Holy Spirit and could not speak English for almost two days. Each time he would start to speak, he would break into another language that none of us understood. I had never heard of anyone having quite that type of experience until I listen to our speaker.He told of how God took charge of his life, filled him with the fire of the Holy Spirit and sent him into the mountains of Pakistan to preach to the Musilums for ten years. He shares how two Angels protected him and of the miracles that God performed. God then sent him to England for two years of Bible training and then back to Pakistan to build a school for Christian children in Sheikhupura.He talked about how things have changed in Pakistan in the last few years, with the Taliban moving into the country and the killing of Christians. If a Christian is discovered trying to convert a Musilum to Christianty, a mob will gather and kill the Christians. No one is charged for the crime and it is accepted as normal and just for the Christians. He described churches and Christians homes being shot at daily.The Musilums do send their children to the Christian school, as they want them to have a good eduication. There are 10 thousand Christians in his home town of Sheikhupura and this is only 3% of the population. The Christians make up the lower income part of the population, taking the lowest paying job and most are uneducated.
