Great State of Texas Blowing into Wind Energy

For those who know Texas they know that Texas is known for Energy and for those who live out on the Texas Plains or near the Gulf Coast they know it gets pretty windy in those parts. It makes sense therefore that Texas is putting these two facts together and like many capitalists before them making sure that they make some money doing it too.

How so you ask? Well, it appears that Texas is very proactive in their Wind Energy Generation efforts and is planning several very large projects, which will prove excellent for the future of Wind Generation. Texas is a hub of energy and there is quite a bit of wind too. It makes sense for them to continue to lead the Country in all types of energy. One very interesting project is out near Corpus Christi, TX on the Gulf of Mexico, a huge wind project is being planned.

It is so interesting that in many parts of our nation folks just do not like those ugly wind generators and will not allow them to generate their power for them. For instance in Cape Cod residents shot down a huge wind project. Not in my backyard they said. Now in Texas they have been much more tolerant and accommodating to wind energy. Consider all this in 2006.
