Many people have difficulties falling asleep, it can be health related or habit related. Health related difficulties are usually sleep disorders, such as insomnia, sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Most people with sleeping disorders can usually find treatments available that can have them sleeping better in just a few months. If you think that your lack of sleep is related to other issues, here are some remedies that might help.

Many people have trouble falling asleep because they drink too much caffeine or alcohol. Many people don’t realize that a cup of coffee, tea or soda in the evening can prevent them from falling asleep and getting a nice deep sleep. Alcohol might make you fall asleep faster, but it stops you from getting deep sleep, so in the morning you feel fatigued.

It is also a good idea to make sure that you sleep in a quiet and comfortable environment. Don’t fall asleep with your TV or radio on, it probably will disturb you. Another great idea is to relax before bed time. Read a book, and take a bath. Make it a ritual, so you slowly wind down before you fall asleep.
