Home security during autumn

Autumn is considered a low risk season, as the outside weather will keep people inside their homes longer than they would during spring or summer for example. It’s also a lot harder for burglars to “work” in a rainy and muddy environment as it would prove too messy and sloppy and they could easily be identified. On the other hand, the same murky weather could cause problems to your outdoor home security system components so make sure they’re 100% waterproof.

Home security during winter

Statistically, winter is the second most burglary-prone season after summer; however it’s still considered a medium-threat season. You’ll be spending a lot more time inside your house, giving burglars less time to move around and act. During the holidays, things are a lot different though. People leave on vacations and leave their houses unattended and the entire holidays can distract us from issues such as home security, making us more vulnerable.
