I Got Mugged

Just recently. Over the very last weekend. Don't worry, though I have already fully recovered from this surprise and I am doing better than ever.

Now, the mug I have received arrived from Our Articles.com. Apparently, it is the way Our Articles.com recognizes their new platinum authors. The lovely and, I must add, quite sizeable mug came with a bag of coffee. Just right for me, that is, not too strong: strong coffee is really not my cup of tea.

I must say that this nice little gift made my day. I guess that, like almost everyone else, I am a sucker for freebies. But this freebie was special because it was also very clever.

You see, they could have simply sent me only a mug, and that already would have been enough, but by sending me also a bag of coffee they made sure that I was going to use it so unlike many other freebies that I have relegated to the drawer with perhaps not the proudest of labels "nice but utterly useless things that I somehow happened to acquire in the past that now clutter the hell out of my apartment," this one stands a very good chance of becoming my everyday companion constantly reminding me of Our Articles.com and encouraging me to write more for them.

That's one heck of a clever idea, if you ask me, and a job well done, indeed! Thank you very much, Our Articles.com!

Yes, some people get knighted (snobs!), but the most the rest of us can hope for is to get mugged once in a while.
