There is a quote from Harriet Beecher Stowe which says, ‘The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone.’ I believe that this quote has a lot to do with untapped potential. The potential that is on the inside of you is untapped through words and deeds. You have the seed of greatness on the inside of you. It’s that thing that tugs at you all the time way down deep that tells you there is more to your life than what you are living right now. And yet, fear, intimidation, the unknown, and self-doubt seem to crowd out any hope you have in realizing the potential that is in you. However, if you put it in perspective, you basically have two choices. You can either allow every excuse to persuade you to never step out and fulfil your potential and then, at the end of your life, you will shed the tears of untapped potential at your own grave. Or, you can break through all the self-doubt, fear, and insecurities and discover that you are more capable of great things than you ever knew you could be. Then at the end of your life, you will be proud because you will know that there is nothing left for you to give because you gave it all in the life that you lived.Make a decision that you will not have to shed tears of untapped potential. Discover your passion. Uncover your greatness. Break through your own limitations. Make a difference in the world that is around you. If you do, you will find that life has so much to offer to those who give the most.
