Integrium Awarded Two Hypertension Studies by a Major Pharmaceutical Company

Integrium, a leading contract research organization (CRO) in the cardiovascular and metabolic areas, today announced that the company was awarded workscopes for two large hypertension studies by a major pharmaceutical company. This follows a number of trial workscopes previously managed by Integrium for this client.

These two Phase 4 trials involve hypertensive patients with Type 2 diabetes and elderly hypertensive patients, respectively. The trials will investigate the reduction in blood pressure, as measured by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). It is anticipated that each study will enroll 200 patients at 25 investigator sites in the US – utilizing Integrium’s detailed investigator database to identify and recruit these sites.

Integrium is providing a comprehensive range of services for the trial projects. This includes project management, site monitoring, data management, medical monitoring, site recruitment and contracting, vendor management, and regulatory services. Integrium will also be providing centralized ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) services for both studies through its Integrex group.
