Internet Marketing---How to Get Started Online on a Shoestring

The first thing I think I must say here is that some internet marketers are probably going to be angry at me for releasing this information. But that’s OK with me.

You see, I have spent nearly 9 months this year learning how to make a web business work without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

You know what I am talking about, if you have been online long.

You’ve seen all the ads. You’ve been told that the only way to make money on the internet is to buy somebody’s $1500 course or somebody else’s $1800 super tool.

I simply want to share with you how you can get started for almost nothing, and what you should really spend your money on.

But if you really want to buy a $1500 course, go ahead and do it. My only advice is: use it. Too many people get really excited about getting their online business up and running and buy tools to help out, and then never use them. So whatever you buy, use it.

Now, how to get started on a shoestring:

1) You need a web site. I do not recommend buying the cheapest giveaway on the internet, but if you are only hosting a few domains, you can find something for $10-$15 per month. Email me and I will give you a few suggestions. If is less than $10 a month, beware. You see, if they don’t charge you enough, they cannot afford to support the system and then your website goes down.

2) You need an auto responder that works--by works I mean your emails get delivered to your clients’ email in-boxes and not their bulk or junk mail boxes. To do this effectively, you will need to spend about $20 a month. To find one that works, subscribe to a few of them on 30 day free trials, set up a few auto responder messages and subscribe yourself. Do you get the emails in your inbox or your bulk mail box? Or shoot me an email and I will give you a heads-up on the right ones.

3) You need to have a theme--become an expert at something. Cost: As much as you want to spend. If you have the time to search for it there is plenty of good information online, at no cost. But if you really want to become an expert in your field, buy a manual or two from another expert. What you save in time will be well worth what you spend in money. Don’t try to be all things to all people. Learn one thing really well and capitalize on that.

4) Start submitting articles to get traffic. This will cost you nothing but time. Sure, there are other good ways of getting traffic to your site, but if you don’t want to spend much money, this is an excellent way to get traffic.

OK, that is enough for now. If you add all that up, it is about $30 per month at the basic level. Only you can decide if $30 per month is worth it to start your own business.
