Internet Marketing Opportunities - Get Involved in Sales - Not Schemes

You can include selling your own or others’ products, selling purchased products, selling affiliate products, selling from your own web site or selling from someone else’s web site. It can include using companies like ebay or amazon to help you make the sales. It can involve sending traffic directly to your web site so they can purchase from you immediately, or it can involve sending traffic to a squeeze page, building a list, and then sending that list to your sales pages or referral pages, and earning income at a later date.

One of the really nice things about working online is that you can literally go from an idea to sales in just a few days, with the longest delay that of getting your web hosting account, because that can take a few days. Once you have your idea and a web hosting account, you can create a sales page, add in a paypal account so you can get paid, and begin sending traffic to your web site. Often, you can have sales the very first day your web site is online. Contrast that to that time it normally takes in the offline world to start a new business and begin making money.

The internet, in my opinion, is still a wide open, wild, wild west, and should be treated as such – go out there and make as much money online while it is still easy. If it ever gets difficult, your experience online will simply make it easier for you to succeed in the new online environment. But for the foreseeable future, I think that it will continue to be relatively easy to make money online.

And I guess one thing I need to mention is that when I talk about making money online like this, I am generally talking about legitimate sales, where you have a product and you sell it. There are, and probably always will be, money making schemes online that are get rich quick in nature, and those programs generally only make the person who devised the scheme, any money. Generally, anyone who buys into those programs simply perpetuates the scheme, but generally does not make any money, no matter how promising things are. And a lot of those schemes are illegal. The really niche thing about simply buying and selling online, or creating your own product and selling it, or referring traffic to someone else who sells something online, is that it is generally legal, unless of course the product itself is illegal.
