Keeping Stress Under Control

You can’t go a day without hearing from other people how much stress they are under. It seems that our society breeds people that are always stressed out. If you are experiencing large amounts of stress in your daily life, here are some tips to keep stress under control.

Stress can be caused by a job, relationship, health condition etc. There are so many reasons why we are stressed out. There are however ways to combat stress in our daily lives.

1. Stay away from caffeinated beverages. You don’t need to be stimulated if you are already excited from your stress.
2. Stay away from alcohol. Many people think that alcohol calms them down. It does for the short term but can lead to much bigger problems down the road. Alcohol also stops you from getting a quality, deep night sleep.
3. Make sure you get enough sleep each night. By getting less than seven hours of sleep each night, you can be fatigued, irritable and less productive the following morning.
4. Keep a journal of stressful events. By tracking your stress, you can understand what is causing your stress and come up with strategies to avoid it or combat it.

So if you are experiencing stress, don’t fret, follow these tips and keep your stress under control.
