Keeping a Scrap Book May Help You Sell Your Home?

By: Lance Winslow

If you are really smart and want to sell your home in this buyers market then you might have to work a lot harder than normal. This is because there are so many homes on the market currently that it is pretty tough on the buyers, as you probably already know. Some sellers are offering automobiles; Free 2001 Toyota Camry with home purchase.

One thing you can do that certainly will not cost as much as giving someone your car to coax them into buying your home is to put together a scrapbook log of your home from the time it was built, with before and after shots. Before you put in the retaining wall and after the garden was completed? Or before the pool was put in along with the Gazebo and there was just some grass and a dog house in that spot.

Believe it or not scrapbooks can tell a story and with pictures worth thousands of words buyers can see the value you put in your house rather than simply not caring and putting in a low-ball offer. You sell your home for 10s of thousands of dollars more. And maybe it will not help you get much more money, but it will simply get your buyers to take more of an interest during those open house weekends. Consider all this in 2006.
