Knowledge Learning Corporation Aims Enrichment Programs at Improving Student Achievement

By: Reference and Education News

Knowledge Learning Corporation, the nation’s leading provider of early childhood education and care, today announced new enrichment programs to meet growing national education demands requiring better preparation for kindergarten and beyond. These unique programs, Kelsey’s Learning Adventures, provide more focused, individual learning opportunities for the hundreds of thousands of children attending the company’s centers nationwide.

The Knowledge Learning Corporation family of centers includes KinderCare Learning Centers, Knowledge Beginnings, Children’s World Learning Centers, Mulberry Child Care and Preschools, and other national brands.

Kelsey’s Learning Adventures provide supplemental instruction in phonics, reading, math and Spanish that are developmentally appropriate for children ages 3 to 8 years old. Based on the best research in early childhood education, Kelsey’s Learning Adventures are taught by specially-trained teachers to small groups of three to five students in three 20-minute lessons per week. Each Adventure takes learning a step beyond the classroom while giving students individualized attention and reinforcement.

“Today’s global economy necessitates preparing young children for their own futures more than past generations. This reality requires that we expand our educational opportunities for children with distinctive curriculum like Kelsey’s Learning Adventures,” said Dr. Elanna Yalow, Ph.D., President and Chief Operating Officer, Knowledge Learning Corporation. “These programs are delivered in a familiar environment, and in a manner that complements what children are already learning in the classroom. Kelsey’s Learning Adventures offers parents a better choice for supplementing their child’s early education in critical subjects without requiring great demands on their already busy life.”

The array of fun and engaging activities associated with these programs meet a variety of learning styles so that children enjoy skill mastery and look forward to each lesson. Additionally, parents receive individualized progress notes after each session and special take home materials including an activity book, a writing journal, and a Kelsey puppet that are exclusive to Kelsey’s Learning Adventures.

“Through Kelsey’s Learning Adventures, our children are receiving age-appropriate enrichment that enhances and strengthens their foundation for lifetime educational success in a fun and supportive setting,” said Sharon Bergen, Senior Vice President, Education and Training, Knowledge Learning Corporation. “We developed this program by combining feedback from parents, teachers, and center directors with research from early childhood education experts. Kelsey’s Learning Adventures offers colorful instructional materials and a variety of hands-on activities that enable teachers to purposefully guide and instruct while individually engaging each child in the learning process.”

Additional information about Kelsey’s Learning Adventures and other unique early childhood offerings is available at Knowledge Learning Corporation’s family of schools including KinderCare Learning Centers, Knowledge Beginnings, Children’s World Learning Centers, and Mulberry Child Care and Preschools.
