List Building – How to Write An Effective Email Campaign, Part I

List building can be such an incredible way to earn income online, but it is extremely important that you write your email campaign in such a way that people continue to open your emails for a long time. You see, your open rate on your first email can approach 100%, but after about 10 emails, it can go as low as 20%. But what if you could write an effective email campaign that made sure that stayed higher than that – even an extra 10% could mean huge profits to you.

So how do you do it?

To make it really easy, I am going to give you a formula for each of your emails, starting with the first email:

Email #1: Welcome letter, include download link and a bonus download – the key here is to overdeliver.

Email #2: Free gift email, perhaps opting them into another one of your email lists.

Email #3: Content Email; write a nice article and put it in the email. Or one thing I do is write articles, post them to ezinearticles, and then put a redirect from my own site to theirs – there are a few good reasons to do this – and then put a link to my redirect in my email.

Email #4: Send them a link to your very newest product, or if you have no products, to the highest converting, best affiliate product you can find (make sure it is one you have bought yourself and really like). This is your best opportunity, when open rates may still be as high as 70%, to make a big sale, and this has to be one that also convinces them that they will buy more from you in the future.
