List building is probably the most important aspect of your online business. Without a list, you don't have customers who trust you to lead them in the right direction. You won't make sales. You won't get sign-ups. You're virtually helpless.We have talked a lot about how to build a list, but let's talk about where to build it.One thing that customers need to have is a budget. It doesn't have to be huge. I started with $50 a month. But if they don't have any, they really aren't customers, right? They're just people who might be new and trying to learn or people who will never buy from you because they're just on your list to learn from you. That's OK, but you don't want a list wholly comprised of people who have no intentions of buying anything, ever.These people usually come from FFA links or free safelists or auto-surf traffic exchanges. You really don't want a lot of people from these places. You'll get a few people here and there that will realize that if they're serious about their businesses, they'll need to spend some money, but overall, I don't think your results with a list built solely around these sources will be beneficial.Stick to proven sources for list building, like co-registration, joint ventures, and so on. What might surprise you is that these ways are even faster, and if you're one of those people, who are just starting out, that's an issue. Start list building the right way, and you'll be glad you did.
