List building can be one of the most lucrative exercise you perform online, and yet you may be thinking, well, my web site has a conversion rate of 1%, I am making money online without list building, why should I list build?First of all, that is a valid question. And I recommend that when you first begin, rather than making a shift to using squeeze pages instead of sales pages for your entry point, that you create a squeeze page and then split the traffic that you send to your sales page, and send a percentage of it to the new squeeze page.This will allow you to test and track your income per visitor to your sales page, versus your income per visitor to the new squeeze page, and once you are confident that the list will make you more money, then you switch to using the squeeze page exclusively.Let me share with you some hypothetical statistics.Let us initially assume that your unique visitor conversion rate to your sales page is 1%, which is fine.Now, let us assume that instead, you were to funnel your traffic to a squeeze page that converts a visitor into a subscriber at a rate of 33%.So, to break even with your sales page, you need to convert 3% of your subscribers into buyers.Now, I have been able to achieve that conversion rate on some of my sales pages where I will redirect my new subscriber immediately after they have subscribed to my list.After that, you have the opportunity to continue to mail to those subscribers and repeatedly send them to your web sales page, increasing your long term unique visitor sales page conversion rate even more. Also, you now have the opportunity to present similar offers to your subscribers, offering additional income, income you would not have received, had you sent your visitors directly to a sales page.
