If there is somebody on Ebay who is known to be a top seller, you can go to his Ebay Store, which is something you can also get over time, and see what kinds of ads he writes. You don't have to copy his style, but read the ads and understand how they work. In no time, you'll have a pretty firm understanding of what kind of ad copy you will need.
