Money Can Cause Stress Too!

People are always being worried about money. We worry when we have it and we worry when we have none or when we're deep in debt. No matter how much you earn, there is always something in money that makes us unhappy. In order to minimize the negative effects of stress caused by our finance, the best thing one can do is letting money work for you and keeping your budget.

If you want to keep money-related stress under control, you have to start from assessing your current situation. Find an hour or two for that task. Get your notebook and write down all your income and expenses. Then, you have to accept that your income is probably not going to change drastically anytime soon. The only way to cope with causes of stress is to re-think your expenses and replace the most expensive ones with those more economic. Also, remember about writing down all home expenses!

Cutting expenses may seem to be a stressful solution, but in reality it rather decreases the stress level than increases it. Strict control over expenses means that situations when you have no money are limited or eliminated. Having a surplus on the account rather than debit saves you a lot of stress every month - it is certainly worth having two dinners out or a few trips to the bars less.

Cutting stress about money will also require creation of a special account where you will put some savings every week or month. Such account will make you much less stressed about the unexpected. Now you will have a special reserve that will let you deal with any unexpected financial problem. Taken together, limiting expenses, learning about your income and creating a financial reserve are able to minimize the money-related stress - without forcing you to increase your monthly income!
