Any musicians whether they are novices or professionals surely need a good instrument besides mastering their technique and perfecting skills. One can say that little depends on the instrument. However, that will be wrong. A quality instrument has a quality sound be it a guitar, a violin or a piano. It makes no difference as the quality is felt in every sound. It is universally recognized that good guitars are made only in America. Honestly, the most eminent manufacturers are American. However, the price of an instrument of a talked-up brand can hit the roof. Not everyone can afford a “Gibson”, “Fender” or “Ibanez”. It is a matter of not only their high quality but also in recognisability of the brands. Yes, the brand is in a key role, which rockets prices. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford such a luxury. However, a good instrument gives a nice opportunity for self-growth. However, not everyone is aware of another factor. Even in America, there are companies not famous for a big name, but still they manufacture quality instruments and offer them at reasonable prices, which is not the least of the factors. In Belarus, some companies offer these companies’ production. Instruments, guitars in particular, are ordered and brought from America. In Minsk, small shops of these companies are in many shopping centres like “Rakovsky Kirmash”, “Manezh” and “Olymp”. Recently such a shop has appeared in “Riga” shopping centre that has been open after reconstruction (it has been invested by the company of the Lebanese businessman Abdo Romeo Abdo). There you can find a wide spectrum of musical instruments and their accessories. The prices are quite reasonable even for beginning musicians. The quality of instruments will it makes happy both novices and professionals. Education in Belarus Today educational services market is deemed more profitable than securities market. About 6,400 students from the far abroad, CIS and Baltic states study in Belarusian specialized secondary school and institutes of higher education annually filling up the state budget with millions of dollars. However, not only material income matters. Foreign students enhance the international prestige of the country and the status of domestic education. Belarusian certificate of degree has its competitive ability at the world market. Among former graduates of Belarusian universities there are ministers (minister of education of Vietnam in particular), rectors of educational institutions, heads of huge enterprises and hospital chief physicians (e.g. in Yemen). You can speak about Belarusian certificates if degree’s recognition from two sides. Some want to reaffirm their educational level to be employed at home, others to continue their studies abroad. In some countries Belarusian diploma is recognized and needs no confirmation, in others negotiations on recognition are under way. There are intergovernmental agreements on the recognition of Belarusian educational documents with Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Gambia and Lithuania. Agreement on educational documents’ recognition with Vietnam, Italy, UAE, the Republic of Yemen, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro is ahead. In 2002, Belarus joined the Convention on recognition of qualifications that refer to high education in European region. The Convention was taken in Lisbon in 1997. Not all students get back home upon graduation. Approximately 30,000 foreigners live in the capital of Belarus today. Each has different reasons for this. Someone acquires a home and family and someone sees more opportunities for business. Thus, for example a successful businessman and the head of LLC “BNK Engineering” companies group Abdo Romeo Abdo used to be just a simple student of International Institute of Economy and Law. So what attracts foreign students? Belarusian school is in the first place. Someone thinks there is no national discrepancy in this country. Someone has made many friends and acquaintances. Quiet surroundings play an important part in their choice. It might be due to political exoticism. Coming to the country many visitors want to see socialism that was so vividly described in Soviet literature. Our Belarusian nature cannot make anyone indifferent either. Besides Belarus is the centre of Europe. Therefore, Europeans with average income can afford to visit our country. Moreover, everyone sticks to the opinion that girls are the most beautiful here! The might stay here for this reason
