Niche Web Site Promotion - Basics 1

Niche web site promotion is simply the promotion of your niche web sites online, via advertising and other methods of sending very targeted traffic to your niche web site. One of the most important things when you are working in the niches is the tightness with which you target your visitors.

There is little difference in the general strategies used for general web site promotion and niche web site promotion, but there are specific differences in detail determined by the niche. The basics of internet advertising apply to both, both there can be some ways in which local area advertising can be used for niches.

If you want to go for search engine promotion, and high listings in search engine listings for specific keywords, you will likely have to start this with the first keystroke used in designing your web site. Search engine optimization is possible on completed web sites, but only to an extent. The whole design of a website should be to make it easy for search engine spiders to visit each page of your site without being sidetracked, and to be informed of the theme of each individual page from the tile and the vocabulary used in the text.

Once you have carried out the search engine optimization your web site needs, or have had it done for you, you can either leave it for the search engines to find it, or submit it. There are pros and cons for each. Many marketers believe that a search engine will crawl your web site sooner if you submit it while others think that it is better for you if the spiders find your site by themselves.
