Boasting speeds of up to 921 kbps, the new Quatech USB Serial Adapters enumerate themselves as standard serial ports without changes to application software or hardware. The adapters connect a single USB port to one, two, four or eight devices with RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial ports. Each adapter is RS-232 only or MEI (multi-electronic interface) software-selectable between RS-232/422/485. Embedded, board-only units are available with one, four or eight independent ports.
