There are few SEO secrets that you cannot work out for yourself. If you want to known how to optimize your webpages for the search engines just think on what the purpose of search engines is. It is to provide the best possible service to their customers, those who use them to find a website that can solve their problem. So put yourself in their place. Not the search engines, but those using them. What do you think they would want? A good website that delivered what it promised in its name and in its description. A website with good content, and that taught you something when you read it. A website that lots of other people visited, and that other websites sent their own visitors to for more information. That’s what you would be looking for. And that is what search engines try to provide you with. So, SEO Secrets? There are none! Deliver the above and you will find that your site will be listed high enough in the search engines. You don’t want to find out the SEO secrets, or how to optimize your web pages for the search engines. You want to provide the search engine customers with what they want. So how do you do that?If we are going to start from the beginning, you choose a domain name that is relevant to the theme of your site. If the theme of your website is article writing, you don’t use a domain name like internetmarketing.com. You call it articlewriting.com. Or as near as you can, because most of the good domain names are already taken, but you get the drift, don’t you? Then you design every single page on your site on an aspect of article writing, and provide each with a relevant name, such as Article Writing and SEO, How to Write Articles, Article Marketing, and so on.You put the name of each page as the title of the page. It will be the first text that search engine crawlers find, and it will in bold text within < H1 >< b >html tags. This informs the search engine of the most important text of the web page. Any paragraph sub-headings should be relevant to the theme of the page. For example, a page on article marketing could have a sub-heading ‘Article Directories’. This should be in bold text, within < h2 >< b > html tags. This again indicates that the text ‘article directories’ is important, and might just make a difference in your listing position for that web page. Keep in kind that Google in particular crawls and lists every single page of your website individually. You can have one page of your site at position 2, page 1 on Google, and all the rest listed farther down.
