Search Engine Optimization - Offpage and On

Search engine optimization is almost a given in today’s advanced internet marketing environment. You see, the search engine dynamic is incredibly important, and the search engines drive a lot of traffic online. The really nice thing about search engine traffic is that although there is a cost to getting your web pages optimized to appear in the top ten results online, there is no additional cost every time the search engines send some one to your web pages. So in my mind it is well worth it to get your web pages optimized for maximum search engine results.

So what do you need to do for your on page and off page SEO?

I think that for the on page SEO all you really need to do is put your keyword in your title, keyword tag, your description, your content, and your heading tags. Now there are lots of things you shouldn’t do, but they are things you would have to go out of your way to do – just build your page naturally and your page shouldn’t get banned. Do tricky stuff and you might get banned. Then you might not get any traffic at all.

Now, for off page SEO, you need inbound links. Bottom line. You have to have inbound links. There are many ways to get inbound links, but my favorite is article marketing.

With article marketing all you really have to do is write articles, optimize them for you keywords, put a link to your web site in them, and submit them to the various online article directories.
